Get Involved with the Kittitas County Historical Museum and make a difference!

Volunteers

Volunteers are the life blood of the Kittitas County Historical Museum. As a non-profit organization, we rely on the generous support of our volunteers to help pick-up where our regular staff cannot.

Ways to volunteer include:

* Greeting visitors and answering visitor questions
* Assisting in special programs and events
* Assisting in cataloging the archives and collections, and assist with research where needed.
* Entering information on the collections into the Museum Software database.

Interns

We invite students to intern at the Kittitas County Historical Museum. Students will learn hands-on collections care and management and museum best practices while working with historical objects.

Internships are through a prearranged, structured learning experience scheduled within a specific time frame. The experience must be relevant to the intern's academic and professional goals, and to research and museum activities of the museum. An internship is performed under the direct supervision of museum staff, and usually is arranged individually.
