"Our Valley: Remember When...?"

A Community Reception

The Kittitas County Historical Museum has hosted an annual community reception to observe our county's history. Our Valley: Remember When...? is a celebration of our county's pioneers, who made this valley what it is today. We are able to share this history with the community enabling them to explore and learn about our valley, the people, and the museum.

Guests have the opportunity to mingle with each other and volunteers, who discuss the history of the county. The Valley was historically broken up into Districts, such as: Woldale, Reecer Creek, Fairview, Naneum, Badger Pocket, Denmark, Damman, Broadview, and more. Those who grew up in these various districts are invited to share their stories about the “good ole days” as well as photographs and artifacts that represent their district and families.

The reception for this year was scheduled for Saturday, November 27, 2010 from 11:00am to 2:00pm. The event was free and refreshments were be served.
