The Kittitas County Historical Museum will be hosting the Nason-Aronica Family Reunion on Sunday, September 5 from 5:00 to 8:00pm. The family invites the public to be part of the celebration.

The Museum has put together an exhibit entitled, The Nason-Aronica Family, in honor of the induction of the Nason-Aronica family into the Ellensburg Rodeo Hall of Fame. The exhibit highlights many objects made by Ida Nason-Aronica, and will be on display through November.

The event is free and refreshments will be served.

Congratulations to our "What Is It?" Contest Winner!

David Libenow, of Ellensburg, who guessed correctly when asked "What Is It?"

This object is an oil drilling bit from the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska.

A drill bit is the end of the drill that actually cuts up the rock. It comes in many shapes and materials (such as tungsten carbide steel and diamond) that are specialized for various drilling tasks and rock formations.

What would you have guessed?

Stop by the museum to see our newest "What Is It?" object and to make a guess.
